My day began with an email from a friend. The email contained a link to an article stating that the Huffington Post was going to unveil a divorce section.
I checked it out: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/divorce/ and was impressed. I wanted to read everything including the hundreds of comments, but I didn’t have time. Throughout the day, several tweets in my feed featured links to articles on the new site. Each time I went back, there was new content.
As a divorce enthusiast, I’m excited to see this (duh!). As a divorcee and member of a blended family, I’m even more psyched. This web site represents yet another step in taking divorce to the in-your-face front lines of life, and not in that tabloid-kind-of-way. It’s (so far, anyway) real information for real people. And there’s a lot of it. And it’s funny. And serious. And entertaining. And true. And controversial. And there’s a lot of it. And it’s right there in the navigation bar (that’s what that thing is called, right?).
Yay! 🙂
I am writing for it, and was very excited about it and to be asked to write for it! I think it is about time that a major online publication covered divorce, since 50% of all marriages end that way!
Congrats on the gig- I’m envious!!
Thanks for the heads up, this will open up a whole new buffet of blog material.
