Should Divorce Gifts Be a Thing?

In a recent article for DivorcedMoms.com, I stated my preferred “No Shower, No Gifts” policy to go into effect in the event that I get married again. I’m a grown woman with a house full of stuff, and I imagine I’d marry a man of similar description. Why would we need gifts? Saturday’s Song: One Day At a Time

Towards the end of my marriage, I used to watch a lot of One Day at a Time reruns. My favorite part was the beginning, where Ann puts down her suitcases and jumps for joy as she’s leaving her old home to start over. When I finally left my home to start over, I wasn’t carrying suitcases, I was holding the leashes of two dogs. Such circumstances precluded me from immitating Ann’s moment of freedom. Saturday’s Song… Westbound

This week’s song is one that actually inspired me to get out of town. Actually, I’m quite often inspired to get out of town… but this song propelled me westward.
