Healing Happens Within

Healing Happens Within

Healing is something that happens on the inside. At least at first. A few weeks ago, I cut my finger while slicing a sweet potato. Immediately, I wrapped the digit with gauze and applied pressure until the bleeding stopped. Stopping the blood flow was the first step in my body getting back to normal. And it happened under the surface, inside. I then spent the next few days with a Band Aid wrapped around my finger. The Band Aid was a boundary that protected the wound while my miraculous body repaired and regenerated tissue. All that healing happened on the […]

Interview with Laura Lawson Boatman, Creator of PEP

I’ve said it a hundred times:  divorce is a human process with a legal document that comes with it. Navigating the “human” part requires more than a lawyer. That’s where friends, family and therapy come in. Also, Positive Energy Psychology (PEP) can help too In the video below, Laura Lawson Boatman will teach you all about it. I first heard the words “positive energy psychology” last summer while relaxing on my deck and listening to an interview with Bruce Lipton, PhD. Collaborative Divorce is a thing- an option gaining in popularity (in some areas more than others). More parents see the value in “conscious uncoupling.” And…slowly but surely, we’re seeing events devoted to the topic of divorce and separation. The one I’m most excited […]

The Brangelina Divorce Broke My Heart

I was never a huge fan of Brangelina, though there were elements about the couple that I found charming. I liked the fact that they’d adopted children. I thought it was cool that Shiloh was born in Africa and later they were so accepting of her desire to be called “John.” I found their wedding story to be incredibly sweet. They’d been together a long time (especially in Hollywood Years) and they’d weathered plenty of tabloid storms. Still, I never quite fell under their spell. I knew they weren’t especially special nor magical. Brad and Angelina were simply two human beings sharing their lives. […]
