I’m a divorce coach. But do you need a divorce coach? Nope, you don’t. Don’t get me wrong. Divorce coaches are awesome allies in helping their clients take productive steps to create a better future. They certainly have a lot to offer and can help you feel and do better. But here’s the thing… Those going through divorce are often bombarded with advice: call this lawyer, it’s better if you get this judge, move out, don’t move out, empty the bank account, hire a private investigator or a forensic accountant, work with a divorce coach…. The list goes on. I’m […]Continue reading
I didn’t think I’d spend my Friday morning deeply contemplating the similarities between death and divorce. But that’s what happened… After yoga class, I scanned my Instagram feed and found a screen shot posted by Hello Divorce. Let’s investigate… First, an analogy to illustrate the difference […]Continue reading
Change is coming. Can you feel it? It’s been happening for a few years, now. While I’ve been out there typing my message and talking to anyone who will listen, others have also been hard at work. We now have more coaches. We have more mediators. Sometimes mediation is required before a couple can see a judge. Collaborative Divorce is a thing- an option gaining in popularity (in some areas more than others). More parents see the value in “conscious uncoupling.” And…slowly but surely, we’re seeing events devoted to the topic of divorce and separation. The one I’m most excited […]Continue reading
Ask me where I am! ….Okay, actually I don’t want to wait for anyone to ask.
I’ve been holding off on blogging about my current experience because I wasn’t sure how well it would go. But now I know…
I’m currently in North Carolina and I just completed Divorce Coach Training with Sandra Dopf, founder of Emerge Victorious.Continue reading
